Pokémon Go Fest 2022: Date fixed and these cities celebrate live!
Remember those days? The time before Corona? When everything was kind of normal? The developers at Niantic would like to go back there, and in the latest announcement from their side, they remind us of 2019. Back then, the major cities of Dortmund, Chicago, and Yokohama were three selected cities where Pokémon Go Fest was held in insanely grand fashion. Those who were there will definitely remember the internet crashes as well. Spoiler: It wasn't that awesome.

The official Pokémon Go Fest will take place online for all players worldwide on Saturday, June 4, 2022 and Sunday, June 5, 2022. There will also be a closing event on August 27, 2022! But ... what's with the long gap? That will probably be because the live events will take place in three major cities around the world and will have a time gap between them.
- The German capital of Berlin is kicking things off, and it's likely to attract players from more than just Germany. The event will take place from Friday, July 1, 2022 to Sunday, July 3, 2022.
- Seattle (Washington, USA) will be next in line. There, the live event will take place from Friday, July 22, 2022 to Sunday, July 24, 2022.
- Last up is Sapporo (Hokkaidō, Japan), inviting fans to catch Pokémon together at the live event starting Friday, August 5, 2022 through Sunday, August 7, 2022.
Corona? Tickets? Do what?
We recommend waiting for further announcements for now. So far, only the dates of the Pokémon Go Fest and the associated live events are known. The assumption is that there will be tickets for each live event, since there were also tickets for previous live events. However, those who want to start planning now should be aware that events could be canceled due to current unpredictable developments in the Corona situation.
