Pokémon GO: Environmental event with new Shiny starts soon

A few days after Easter, Pokémon GO's next big event begins: Environment Week. This year, you will have to deal with a new seventh-generation Pokémon, which will make its first appearance in the game alongside another Shiny. We summarize all the important information about the event for you.

The Environment Week itself starts on Wednesday, April 20 at 10:00 and lasts until Monday, April 25 at 20:00. From the moment the event has begun, you will be able to catch the Pokémon Kommandutan in the wild in Pokémon GO. This is a seventh-generation mon of the Normal/Psycho type. Kommandutan can learn these attacks:

• Zen Headbutt (type Psycho, fast attack)
• Confusion (Psycho type, fast attack)
• Yawn (Normal type, fast attack)
• Despair (Normal type, fast attack)
• Psychokinesis (type Psycho, charge attack)
• Seer (type Psycho, charge attack)
• Parasite (Normal type, charge attack)
• Desperator (Normal type, charge attack)

You'll also have the chance to catch the Pokémon Kikugi and its evolution Kinoso in both Cloud and Sun forms as Shiny from the start of the event. A particularly good opportunity for this is Community Day on April 23, 2022, when you will receive a Kikugi as a reward as part of the limited field research.

In addition, the following bonuses apply during Environment Week:

• Double experience points for turning a Pokéstop photo disc for the first time
• Moss Lock Module and 15 Super Balls for completing the collection task

Some Pokémon are more likely to be found in the wild during Environment Week:

• Myrapla, Sleima, Chelast, Chelcarain, Kikugi, Unratütox, Kastadur, Kommandutan, Bisaflor, Paragoni

Completing the event's associated Field Research tasks will give you Mega Energy for Rexblisar and Bisaflor, and you may also encounter some Pokémon:

• Chelast, Kikugi, Serpifeu, Unratütox, Igamarao and Paragoni
